About Carl Brown

I’m Carl, I currently head up product at Pie. Our aim is to democratise tax for the masses, by offering everything you need to manage your taxes without anxiety, in one easy-to-use and beautifully designed app. I’m passionate about working with consumer facing products and brands, managing creative and design talent and pushing the envelope creatively in terms of the way a business is perceived. Throughout my life I have developed this art of being able to communicate with anyone at any given time, which I would say is by far my greatest asset. Part of running a digital creative studio for 10 years, I was able to work with some standout brands like giffgaff, Expedia, GHD, Budweiser, Adidas and Diageo. My key takeaway from this experience was understanding that effective internal and external communication are core to running any successful creative team. Outside of work, my big passions lie in sports, travelling and mentorship, more recently with the The Holiday Club, a noble project that’s doing the heavy lifting to get as many under represented youngsters back into the creative industry as possible.
