About Carl Chandler

I have nearly seven years of fabrication experience starting at a small fabrication shop building stairs and railings for commercial construction. I started work there in 2010 and have been involved continually in part time work for the company until last year. An eight month internship at Bosch Motorsports in Charleston starting in 2014 gave me a familiarity, though not a full working knowledge of vehicle systems such as ABS, CANbus, fuel injectors and sensors involved in closed loop ECU feedback. In May of 2016 I was given an Intern position at the McNair Center for Aerospace Innovation and Research which raised my interest in aerospace materials development. My duties as lead fabricator included cutting, grinding and welding fixtures and molds used for carbon fiber layups. Currently as a researcher, I work on many projects essential to the development of a proprietary multi-axis carbon fiber printing system.
