Personal Statement I currently work in hospitality. However, this role involves a lot of administrative work, upselling, bar work, cleaning, and when my night manager is off duty/holidays I take on a managerial role of the hotel. I also have to keep a close eye on security and guest safety. I handle any complaints and try to avoid any escalations, whilst ensuring guests are well looked after. I have held various other positions in Customer service roles including Sales, B2B Sales and Administration. Over the years I have built up a wealth of knowledge which has increased my confidence. My main strengths are customer focus & communication. I pride myself on putting the customer at the centre of everything I do. I strive to deliver a professional and efficient level of service. I am very comfortable dealing with customers face to face or on the telephone. I am highly motivated and give 100% to any task or job assigned to me. I am confident working individually or in a team environment. I have strong interpersonal skills. I am very approachable and understand the importance having good listening skills too. I am an effective communicator both verbally & written. I am confident with IT and make good use of office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. I am very diligent & focus my attention to detail. I am totally reliable both in attendance & time management. I am always happy to accommodate any request to shift swap or cover absences. I fully embrace change and welcome new challenges. I have a keen hunger to learn and do so quickly. Hobbies & Interests My hobbies include reading about history, politics and the natural world. I enjoy baking, keeping up with current affairs, going to the gym, travelling and learning about other cultures. Another interest of mine is politics. When living in Brighton I ran for councillor in my local ward of Brunswick and Adelaide in Hove, 2014-2015. Although I was not elected, I enjoyed the experience of meeting and listening to the concerns of everyone. This has given me a better understanding of the importance of diversity. I have also ran for councillor in Horsely Hill in South Tyneside and South Hebburn.
