About Carl King

After working thirty-four plus years in both construction and utility industry, I would like to utilize my professional skills and knowledge to help build and manage an overhead line construction company. As our electrical grid is modernized and upgraded there will be many opportunities for companies that have forward thinking management teams that are staffed with members that understand and know tried and true construction techniques but are open minded to analyze new construction techniques and apply best practice applications. As existing infra-structure is rebuilt, outage windows or opportunities to get existing lines de-energized are becoming shorter and sometimes impossible to get. My background in the electrical industry primarily high voltage transmission line construction sequencing, construction techniques, working knowledge of equipment used in this industry, unique understanding of the power grid. Gives me a unique perspective of where the national high voltage grid is and where it's headed I would like to offer my skills and knowledge in the safe, reliable and cost effective construction, operation and maintenance of transmission, distribution and substation assets. By using my experience in the utility and construction trade in regards to adherence to safe work practices, human performance fundamentals, design construction standards, workforce productivity and personal development.
