About Carl Taylor

It was a love for music and a deep respect for the trans-formative nature of live events that got me started in this industry. From the moments I felt most alone, when music seemed to be able to connect me to the unreachable parts of myself, to those moments where music connected me to others, and to something greater than the sum of our individual parts - I have been profoundly impacted by its power to connect, unite, and uplift people. It hasn’t always been easy. From the opening of CTS in my Pennsylvania garage, producing audio for some of the biggest events and greatest performers of their time to starting over in Nashville - this industry has challenged every part of me and tested my faith. I’ve had to ask myself challenging questions like, “What am I willing to amplify?” I’ve had to make hard decisions, develop the courage to say “no”, turning away from lucrative business that paid the bills but that was inconsistent with my values, my beliefs, my dreams for my life. I’ve had to true myself up to who I say I am and what I hold important. I’ve had to keep going when I wanted to stop. I’ve had to set a direction and purpose that’s worth striving for - worth being relentless about: We are setting a new standard for quality of the sum total experience; the performance, the process, the relationships, and in the lives of our people. It definitely hasn’t been easy. Perhaps it was all necessary. It has certainly proved to be worth it. More than three decades into this, I’m still profoundly impacted. It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve done this…designing the sound, the lights, the video, preparing and creating the space for live experience… it is simply impossible to get over. Because time after time, it is in this space that I am a witness to the inspiration, the connection, and the undeniable life force that unites us all. We are here for the people who are on a mission to connect, unite, and uplift people. The artists, performers, and leaders who know how much the live experience matters - and who, once again, will gather their people. We’ll be there. We’ll create the space, so they can move the room. Because when you can move the room, you can move the world. And that’s everything.
