Background

About Carla Cammack

I have been involved in Office Management and Business Management during my entire professional career. In that capacity, I have worn many hats including contract and project administration, benefit administration, human resources, payroll, corporate insurance, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, developing client relationships and marketing - just to name a few. My role as Contracts Administrator is extremely detailed and complicated. I review incoming agreements including the base agreement between our company and our client and our client's Prime agreement with the owner or developer. During the review, I am looking for red flags and insurability issues and making recommendations to the owners regarding the need to obtain legal review. Part of that process involves diplomatically communicating our required changes to the client and tracking / interpreting their response. Over the years, my skills have increased in the contract review capacity and I am often praised by our legal counsel for my observations and suggested contract replacement language. My role related to Corporate insurance is year round, but ramps up during renewal process. I work with our broker to obtain pricing and make recommendations to the owners accordingly. Throughout the year, I coordinate certificates of insurance for new projects and new clients and track certificates from our sub-consultants as well.
