A passionate, driven Scientist with 15 years of academic and industry collaboration work experience, specializing in international collaborative projects focused on the pre-clinical validation of molecules targeting players in iron metabolism and dysfunctional erythropoiesis. Combined strong analytical skillset with extensive inter-disciplinary project leadership to exercise management across various domains while adhering to strict standards and budgetary constraints. Possesses a key focus for the identification of operational inefficiencies, driven to bring out the best of the team. Strong communicator, problem-solver, and collaborator highly adaptive in cross-functional and multidisciplinary projects evidenced through success in scientific and professional settings. I’m passionate about my work, I love my field, I believe in our mission, and I like to think it bleeds into everything I do. I pour over every minute detail of each experiment, meticulously fine tuning every element for complete precision. I push my organizations to grow, improve, and develop. And I’ve contributed to a consistent stream of scientific publications, serving as an active voice within my field. Some of my key accomplishments include- Ensuring an exceptionally fast, extremely reproducible testing process, and employed a focus on experiment tracking, careful equipment selection, and backups, which resulted in two compounds reaching clinical trials- Producing 2-4 publications per year, one of which as first author, on the testing of molecules targeting major players involved in iron metabolism regulation and erythropoiesis in beta-Thalassemia and other diseases- Generated all in-vivo data that scientifically demonstrate value for the application of the currently pending PCT/US2019/029794 international patent and publication in Blood Journal, projected to potentially represent a massive shift within the field. Throughout my career, I have emerged as a trustworthy, reliable leader. I’ve never really been satisfied to sit back and let things happen, so I have constantly pushed the boundaries of my roles, always looking for ways to carry my team forward and get better results. As a result, I’ve been entrusted to lead Research Technicians, rescue projects, provide international training, and manage communications.
