About Carla Dassinger

Experienced Clinical Psychologist with a demonstrated history of working in clinical and forensic practice. Fifteen years of experience providing clinical services to forensic populations at the county, provincial and federal level. I have delivered services in both the United States and Canada. I currently provide psychotherapy services through private practice with a primary focus on first responders and offending populations; I also complete mental health assessments, psychovocational assessments and risk assessments. I deliver training pertaining to structured interviewing and managing risk in the child protection context. I provide treatment to those who have committed sexually motivated offences at both the federal and provincial custody level. My research interests include dual diagnosis, assessment and treatment of sexually motivated offences, risk assessment, and the development of childhood aggression and delinquency. I have a passion for working with graduate students with a keen interest in specialized forensic training.
