About Carla Ibrahim

Carla Ibrahim, is a dietitian with over 5 years of experience, holding a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a master’s degree in Nutrition and Public Health from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik. She is currently pursuing a cotutelle PhD in pediatric nutrition between the Lebanese University and the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, focusing on the nutritional needs of children and the effects of nutrition on their growth and development, with 10 publications to date and an international book. Additionally, she is a member of the PHENOL research group (public Health Nutrition Program-Lebanon), at the Lebanese University. Furtherly, she has a great experience in the community-based work and the humanitarian field. She first started working as a community health educator with IOCC, then as a malnutrition monitor with Mercy-USA, and is currently working as a nutrition counsellor at Save the Children, where she’s assisting vulnerable communities in promoting sustainable diets, screening malnutrition in under five years children, and providing awareness sessions on infant and young child feeding practices. She is dedicated to using her knowledge to make a positive impact on people's lives, and her community-based work is a testament to her commitment.
