About Carla MacKinnon

I have a solid background in workplace health and safety with more than a decade of practical experience in development and implementation of health and safety systems and quality management. I am certified by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals and a member of the Alberta Association of Health and Safety Professionals. In 2014, I completed the Occupational Health and Safety certificate program at the University of Alberta with a Certificate with Distinction. In addition to my formal qualifications, I have extensive experience producing, executing and maintaining policies and procedures to keep employees safe and healthy in the workplace. My experience in preparing Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures or Practices demonstrates my ability to marry an organization’s internal processes and procedures with legislative obligations. I am passionate about workplace safety and the well-being of the employees. To support that, I continually work at growing my skills and enhancing my knowledge.
