To build community through storytelling; this lights me up. It satisfies my curious nature and feels on purpose. The need for community is wired into us. It has the incredible power to bring people together, provide social support and create an environment where humans can thrive. Digital media offers the opportunity to relate to one another via story. This is a chance to engage and connect to others, planting the seeds for community to grow. With a particular interest in social justice and identity, my work aims to help shape how we understand and relate to one another. Opportunities to work on projects demonstrating collective impact strategies for growth in cultural, social and environmental sectors are high on my list of interests. As a filmmaker I have extensive experience behind the camera, capturing audio, writing scripts, conducting effective interviews and managing projects. My experience in cultural programming and event coordination includes art gallery fundraisers, monthly community events, film festivals, municipal cultural committees and managing summer film camps.
