About Carla Torres
I am a graduate from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelors in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a Concentration in Community Recreation and a Minor in Event Planning Management. I currently work for Century Villages at Cabrillo as the Youth and Family Services Coordinator where I run the afterschool/day programs for youth ages 6-18 on our campus as well as our TAY 18-24 age group. I also am in charge of outreach efforts for our Tim O'Connell Memorial Scholarship Fund and aiding applicants throughout the application process. Outside of work, I am learning digital art programs including Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Blender, and more in order to challenge myself creatively. I also volunteer for a nonprofit called CityHeART regularly where I have been a volunteer since 2019. I surf when I can and I am currently learning how to roller skate! I hope that I can continue to learn and grow in roles that allow me to aid others and be creative!
