About Carlos Mazorra
I am a Director of Innovation and R&D with more than 20 years of experience, both on the private and public sectors, mainly in the field of Aquaculture science and technology. I have a strong commercial and technological orientation. After a period at the European Space Agency, I developed my PhD work in the UK within a collaborative industry programme. I was then recruited by the Seafish Industry Authority, helping the expansion of the UK´s marine aquaculture industry. Back in Spain I joined, Tinamenor S.L, a pioneering company in the European marine aquaculture production sector as Innovation and R&D Director, implementing the company´s R&D strategy in collaboration with a network of international research partners. In recent years my team developed new lines of business, with the creation of innovative food products opening new markets for the company. Currently I am the Director of Innovation and R&D for Smartwater Planet, S.L,"The Technology Company for the Aquaculture Industry".
