About Carlos Moore

Carlos Moore is a Senior Vice President at Amerant Bank in Coral Gables, Florida. As a commercial real estate banker for the past 27 years, he has handled hundreds of financing requests and personally originated over $1.5 billion of construction, acquisition and term loans. Before joining Amerant Bank, Carlos worked at City National Bank of Florida, Bank of America, Key Bank, TD Bank and BB & T, focusing on real estate transactions ranging from raw land to high-rise luxury condominium construction loans. Thanks to his early experience as a credit underwriter, loan portfolio manager, team leader and workout specialist, Carlos has the experience to properly craft a real estate transaction from beginning to end. Carlos has managed complex construction draws, structured swaps, syndications and working with clients on minor to major loan modifications that inevitably occur during the loan life cycle. In Carlos earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida with a concentration in finance and real estate. In 1994, he received a bachelor’s degree in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management from St. Thomas University in Miami. Carlos resides in Miami with his wife, three daughters and two motorcycles.
