About Carlos Neto
Carlos holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Energy) from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST)/ University of Lisbon, an MBA from the Catholic University of Lisbon, and completed the Top Management Programme at INSEAD. He began his career in 1990 at REN's National Dispatch, focusing on power plant production programming and real-time management of the National Electrical Grid. He later transitioned to the Wholesale Energy Market platform. With the onset of the liberalization of the electricity market in in Portugal, Carlos embraced the challenge at EDP to contribute to the Group's commercialization activities. Over the years, he has led various teams ranging from Power Plant Dispatch and Trading to Marketing and Sales of Energy and Services across different B2B segments. In 2022, Carlos accepted the invitation from E-REDES to lead the Supplier Management Department, responsible for ensuring the procurement and contractual management of materials and services, totalling over 350M€ annually.
