About Carly Koerner

As Art Director at UltraRunning Magazine, I bring over 20 years of graphic design and branding experience to create engaging and impactful visual content for the running community. My skills are in design direction, layout, and production of the print and digital magazine, as well as contributing to website and social media platforms. Additionally, I run my own design studio, Elemental Design, where I provide freelance graphic design and project management services to a variety of clients, ranging from small businesses to large corporations. I specialize in branding and implementation, logo design, digital marketing, e-commerce and print design. I have worked with leading brands such as: Montrail Footwear (Columbia Sportswear) and Propét USA, as Senior Graphic Designer; and Harry & David, Wolferman’s and Cushman’s, as Art Director of Ecommerce–creating over 600 unique email campaigns. My design philosophy is simple: I strive for clarity, transparency, and honesty in every project I work on. I believe that good design is not only about aesthetics, but also about communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. I enjoy working with clients who share my vision and values, and who are passionate about their products and services. My goal is to help them grow their projects from seed to sprout with my design expertise and experience.
