About Carly L.

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with a primary interest in supporting high risk youth who are involved in the residential out-of-home care system or criminal justice system. I also enjoy working with young people and their families, and fostering long-term relationships based on trust and acceptance. I am experienced in working with co-occurring disabilities, mental health conditions and physical health conditions. I always aim to provide trauma-informed and person-centred care to every client, by utilising a holistic approach to behaviour support implementing bio-psycho-social, applied behaviour analytic and positive behaviour support frameworks. I am a massive advocate for every individual I come across and truly believe everyone has the potential to reach their best with the right supports in place. Outside of my role as Team Leader at Elements, I enjoy providing both 1:1 and group supervision, and peer support for other practitioners and see it as my responsibility to train others to become competent experts in the field. I have recently designed and am rolling out a 12-week practitioner training program aimed to up-skill those entering or already working as a behaviour support practitioner through NDIS.
