Background
About Carly Michael
Photos have always played a big role in my life - I grew up in my family's camera shop & worked there on-and-off since I was 16. I studied commercial photography, taught Adobe Lightroom at michaels media school, exhibited my documentary photography work in numerous group and solo exhibitions & spent a decade managing the photo lab at michaels. I love public speaking and am known for speaking up about the Digital Dark Age - the time period we are currently in which is likely to be forgotten due to poor management of our digital data. In 2017 I discovered 'The Photo Managers'- an association representing the Photo Organising & Management Industry. I felt I'd come home and have since embarked on a new journey of organising photos such that they are easily accessible, safe and searchable, thereby guaranteeing that people's memories, photos and the stories they hold will last for generations.
