NAMA Recovery is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization made up of methadone and buprenorphine patients, healthcare providers, professionals, family, friends and allies who support quality opioid agonist therapy and medication assisted treatment as the most effective modality for the medical treatment of opioid dependence and addiction. NAMA Recovery has thousands of members and supporters worldwide, chapters in many states and localities, & numerous affiliated international organizations around the world. It is the largest and most known & influential advocacy organization with a specific focus on medication assisted treatment in existence and partners with the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) to offer the internationally recognized training course for the Certified MAT Advocate (CMA) certification in conjunction with their national conference every 18 months in various U.S. cities.
