About Carol Daulton

After 20+ years of developing skills in multiple areas, I’ve discovered that what inspires me most, what I look forward to in any role I’ve held, is the ability to have a positive impact on those around me. As a mentor, I have the honor of supporting and encouraging new leaders. As a leader, I enjoy removing barriers and helping my team find and maintain their passion. As a colleague, I am the sounding board and cheerleader. As a subordinate, I find it rewarding when I can fill a need, the more complex the need, the better. My primary driving principles are simple. 1) I don’t strive to be irreplaceable; I strive to be indispensable. I strongly believe in succession planning and sharing experiences and knowledge that might be helpful to those who are less experienced. I also find it fulfilling when my role expands into the “other duties as assigned” part of the job description. 2) Be your true, authentic self. I didn’t originate this phrase, but it resonates with me. I am comfortable acknowledging my areas of weakness and build relationships with those with skills in these areas.
