About Carol Epps

I began my Healthcare journey in 1985 after graduating from the University of Akron with a BS in Medical Technology. I spent the next 32 years working at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina. I worked as a Medical Technologist in the Clinical Laboratory for 23 years and then moved to process improvement. During the next nine years I worked with over 100 teams using Lean/Six Sigma methodology for improvement. The last four of those years I was the team facilitator for all the Inpatient Flow teams. I worked with all the teams from arrival to the hospital:Access. Through their stay in the hospital:Throughput. Finally, through the discharge process:Discharge. This is where I learned how valuable Teletracking is. Since March of 2017 I have been designing and implementing the Patient flow application TeleTracking across the United States, helping hospitals achieve efficiencies in a safe and sustainable processes.
