About Carol Head

Carol is a lifelong champion for women, girls and social justice. Carol was recognized as a Changemaker by the Stanford Business School. Cut/paste to view their short video about Carol here: & t=26s She's used management skills gained at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business to work in the media and dot com industries, and founded two non-profit organizations. She retired from her position as CEO of the Solve ME/CFS Initiative, a national medical research organization seeking a cure for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Long Covid. She now chairs the Development Committee of the Board of Directors. Carol is a founder and Co-Chair of Project Redwood, a venture philanthropy fund of Stanford Business School alumni that provides grants and advisory services to early-stage social entrepreneurs focused on alleviating poverty, globally. In 2017, Carol was recognized by O, The Oprah Magazine as a Health Hero for her work in finding a cure for ME/CFS. She was one of fourteen visionaries, named by the magazine, that are healing bodies, minds, and communities. Carol is proud to perform with the Angel City Chorale, a premier, innovative, 180-voice choir that exemplifies the power of choral music.
