About Carol McPatrick

I currently work in Public Procurement and have just reached my 10 year anniversary at the City of Homestead, 9 of which have been as the Procurement Manager. During this time I have obtained both the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and the Certified Public Procurement Buyer (CPPB) certifications. I am proud to be one of only 1,802 CPPOs in the US and Canada area. I am a loyal, committed, focused, and professional individual. I enjoy being a leader who fosters a team environment. I believe in empowering employees to develop their full potential, and thrive in promoting the Public Procurement profession to all who want to expand their skills and abilities in this field. I believe in giving new professionals an opportunity to gain work experience and as a result I have had interns who moved on to pursue Public Procurement as a profession after their experience under my leadership. I have held the Vice President position as a volunteer at the local public procurement chapter of The Greater Miami Chapter of NIGP from 2014 to until March of 2018. Together with the Chapter Executive Board, have worked hard in strategically promoting the public procurement profession as well as worked on providing educational opportunities to the public procurement buyers in the area. During my time as a volunteer, we have lead our chapter to be a finalist for Chapter of The Year twice at the NIGP Institute for Public Procurement national organization.
