About Carol Woolf

I have worked in many different industries, from transport and freight forwarding, manufacturing, telecommunications, building and construction to importing and owning two of my own businesses. I have travelled the world twice including long periods backpacking in countries such as India, Mexico etc. I have lived in both Australia and the UK. I returned to Christchurch and completed my social work training in 2005. I worked at Christchurch Hospital for several years and practiced in a number of specialty areas including General Medicine, ENT, Emergency, Surgical and Orthopaedics. I was the social worker for the Department of Nephrology for three years working with dialysis patients and kidney transplant patients. This provided me the opportunity and privilege of working with people longer term, and holistically, in a clinical environment. I currenly work as a specialist social worker in Older Persons Health, for the CDHB. I also am registered as an ACC counsellor for sensitive claims and work privately with a diverse client base. My greatest pleasure in my work is assisting people to find acceptance and peace in life where necessary; as well as making real and positive change with ongoing support to maintain it. Live well!
