It is important for me to serve my community through my work whether for-profit, non-profit, or social service. Helping people is who I am. Currently, I am empowering Medicare beneficiaries to prevent, detect and report healthcare errors, fraud and abuse with the MA Senior Medicare Patrol. I supported the citizens of Massachusetts as a contact tracer as part of the Covid-19 response and became a part of the Epidemic Intelligence Unit where we used epidemiology to investigate clusters. This experience seasoned my assessment and investigative skills."Everything happens for a reason" has been a theme in my life. Recently, it enhanced my paralegal and investigative skills as a I work on an elder financial abuse case in support of family. I'm a BIG New England Sports Fan and lucky enough to have lived out one dream working in professional hockey. The community of support we created is what I am most proud of professionally and to receive American Hockey League recognition was amazing! These skills gave me the groundwork and confidence to move on and run a non-profit ice arena, where yes I drove the zamboni. For the past 20 years, I have volunteered for causes empowering children, athletes with disabilities, veterans, and the elderly and look forward to continuing them in my next adventure.
