About Carolina Lolas

Carolina Lolas is a PhD(c) in Arts and Sciences of Art at Université Toulouse – Jean Jaurès. Her research examines the convergence of applied arts, ancestral knowledge systems, and emerging technologies, with a specific focus on developing earth-based ceramic and geopolymer pastes for 3D printing. By integrating digital fabrication techniques with Andean cosmotechnics, she opens new pathways for regenerative architecture, material ecologies, and contemporary artistic practice. Her transdisciplinary work combines philosophical inquiry with technical experimentation, exploring the resonant relationships between matter, memory, and symbolic gesture in the age of artificial intelligence. She approaches technology not as a neutral tool, but as a co-creative agent capable of participating in culturally situated and vibratory modes of production. As the founder of Poétique Artificielle Translucide (PAT), Lolas leads a creative laboratory where human and non-human intelligences engage with ritual materialities to shape hybrid aesthetics—tactile, translucent, and ontologically generative.
