What have I learned from my diverse experiences in public service? Always be proactive, and never stop honing your strategic and organizational skills. My tenure with the Metropolitan Police in London has been particularly rewarding, where I earned a reputation for managing high-pressure situations with precision and calm. The two accomplishments at the metropolitan police, which I was most proud of are- My ability to diffuse high-pressure situations and maintain safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of all involved- Revamping the CONNECT detainee records and processing database, improving accuracy and efficiency in legal procedures. A sergeant I worked with once said,"You connect the dots when others don't," highlighting my ability to see the bigger picture. My colleagues often told me that I am an incredibly fast learner, quickly adapting to new challenges and responsibilities. My determination to seek out challenges and strive for constant improvement has led me to Boston, where I am currently pursuing a Master in International Business at Hult International Business School. This program is an exciting opportunity to deepen my understanding of global markets, strategic management, and cross-cultural communication. I have really enjoyed connecting with others students in English and Portuguese, but also conversing in Spanish and French. Throughout my career, I have always had a deep passion for cybersecurity. The constantly evolving nature of this field, coupled with its critical importance in today’s interconnected world, has always fascinated me. I am eager to merge my analytical skills, public service experience, and strategic mindset to contribute to the cybersecurity space. Challenges in business, government, and security? Bring them on!
