About Caroline B. Plescia
I am an experienced PhD-holding molecular virologist and anti-viral pharmacologist with a specialization in development and use of BSL-2 compatible model systems for high-containment and emerging pathogens. My specific research interests are in identifying critical virus-host interactions throughout the virus lifecycle, and evaluating these interactions as potential anti-viral therapeutic targets. I hope to one day lead my own research program to study these viral events and hopefully impact both the basic biology/scientific foundation of our understanding of viruses and impact human health with our work.
