Caroline Bailey is an international development professional with nine years of experience working with NGOs and cooperatives. She holds a Master's Degree in International Development Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. Caroline focused her studies on food security and youth development. She is currently employed as Director, Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion at ACDI/VOCA. In rural Northwest Tanzania, Caroline studied sustainable development and Swahili while working with a local farmer’s cooperative known as MAVUNO, which means harvest. She specifically helped farmers gain tools through the Food and Seed Security Project. Caroline was also recognized as a participant in the Clinton Global Initiative 2014 Summit in Tempe, Arizona after launching a start-up with fellow George Washington University classmates known as Gaming Revolution for International Development (GRID). The team finished their first game with the World Bank known as Randomania, which focuses on the best practices for implementing Randomized Controlled Trials in the field. Caroline has technical skills using both STATA and SPSS data analysis programs. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies with a minor in Geography from West Virginia University and has a working proficiency in Swahili.
