About Caroline Brown

As a sophomore Primary Education major at John Carroll University with a dual licensure program to also be a certified Intervention Specialist, I am deeply passionate about creating positive, inclusive learning environments where all children can thrive. With five years of experience as a swim coach, I’ve developed valuable skills in leadership, communication, and motivation—skills I carry into my work in the classroom. Outside of my studies at John Carroll, I am a substitute teacher at Our Lady of the Lake Elementary School, where I have the opportunity to engage with students across various grade levels. Additionally, I dedicate time each week to service at a children’s after-school program, further honing my teaching skills while giving back to my community. I have spent the past 4 summers as a lifeguard at Euclid Memorial Pool, and this past summer I took on the role as a manager. In addition to this I was the swim lessons director and helped Memorial Pool to successfully run its first swim lessons program since 2021. I am driven by the joy of watching young minds grow and develop. Every interaction with a child, whether in the pool or the classroom, reinforces my commitment to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. As I continue my journey toward becoming an educator, I’m eager to collaborate with fellow educators and build a meaningful, impactful career in education.
