About Caroline Burchell

Hello, I’m Caroline Burchell. I have a unique educational background in Design and Environmental Analysis (DEA), with a concentration in Human Factors & Ergonomics from Cornell University. Within the design field I have participated in Cornell-based research, and have gained experience in product evaluation, space planning and inclusive design. I specialize in ergonomic product and workstation assessment and the delivery of ergonomics training. I have found myself drawn to working directly with people, from all walks of life, both in my professional pursuits and hobbies. I was previously president of Art Beyond Cornell, a club that volunteers with residents of the MacCormick Secure Center with the goal to use art as a medium for expression and growth. I also have experience working within the mental health field, and have interned at the Mental Health Association of Westchester and its branching Sterling Community Center. Overall, I am interested in the human-environment interface, sustainability (social, economical, and environmental), and how constructed spaces and the community can enable individual growth and success.
