I initially decided to become an occupational therapist because of a deep love for movement and the body founded through dance classes as a child, and a desire to make an impact in someone's life everyday. I personally find meaning in my life by practicing yoga, walking my dog, and sharing a good meal and laugh with my friends and family. I want to discover what it is that gives other people meaning and help them be able to do the things they love, despite the challenges facing them. The best advice I have ever received is that an occupational therapist doesn't ask you what's the matter with you, they ask you what matters to you.
