About Caroline Dingle
I have two decades of experience conducting ecological and environmental research around the world. My research integrates genetic and behavioral studies to answer questions regarding the biological processes that generate and maintain biological diversity. I have worked in and around the Amazon Basin in South America, Australia, North America and Asia. Currently my research is focused on questions related to human impacts on wildlife: urban ecology and evolution and wildlife trade. I also have some ongoing research on bird migration along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. In Canada I am starting a new research project on human-wildlife interactions in urban areas. I teach courses in biology, ecology, and environmental science. I am passionate about teaching and about providing research opportunities to the students I have the privilege of interacting with through my positions.
