About Caroline Drupka

I am a recent graduate from Washington College with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Sociology and a minor in Gender Studies. My academic and research journey has been rooted in understanding the neurobiological and societal dimensions of behavior and mental health. My Senior Thesis: A Translational Approach to Schizophrenia: Measuring Cognitive Deficits in the MK-801 Neurodevelopmental Model and the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of Mental Health PractitionersI’ve conducted hands-on research in neurodevelopmental models of schizophrenia, binge-eating behavior, and the behavioral effects of social isolation—using advanced techniques such as confocal microscopy, fiber photometry, and stereotaxic surgery. My work has been presented at multiple professional conferences and reflects my passion for translational research that bridges basic neuroscience and clinical application.In addition to my research experience, I’ve supported student learning as a teaching assistant, tutor, and student leader. I’m fluent in Polish, proficient in SPSS and R, and continuously motivated to apply science to improve lives.
