About Caroline Gardner

Graduated from the University of Bristol in 1996. Small Animal Clinical Director at The Oak Veterinary Group - a 4 branch mixed veterinary practice in the heart of Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Joined IVC Evidensia in 2021 and became part of the small animal clinical board in 2022. Achieved ILM Level 4 Diploma and NVQ in Leadership and Management in 2019, though a modern apprenticeship with Coleg Sir Gar, having in-work assessments over a 2 year period, as well as completion of a comprehensive Diploma course.I have a great interest in all types of small animal surgery (RCVS CertSAS 2004, Advanced Practitioner from 2015) which has developed into further interests in osteoarthritis, lameness and mobility, hydrotherapy and rehabilitation medicine. I am passionate about the GP Vet role within a community, and the importance we play in local animal health, and client education through effective communication.I am fascinated and intrigued by animal-human relations (and vet-human relations in the consult room) and the impact these have on our ability to achieve our purpose and goals as vets. Lover of the outdoors, especially walking with the dogs. I enjoy inspiring and empowering the younger generation through leadership in Girlguiding, and within the local community, always looking for ways to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors and our local environment, whether that’s cooking over a camp fire, foraging for wild foods, or telling stories about the landscape around us.
