Experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant (2009) with specialist skills in major trauma, resuscitation, pre-hospital care & research in healthcare. Leadership experience includes Associate Medical Director at UHCW reporting to CMO (2024-2025). Immediate past Clinical Lead for West Midlands Trauma Network and immediate past Major Trauma Lead at UHCW Major Trauma Centre. NIHR (CRN West Midlands) Research Scholar funded a day a week at University of Warwick CTU 2023-5. Extensive clinical research experience including PI of multiple NIHR funded studies, trial steering committee and writing committee representation. Current research projects include OHCA in pregnancy, AI modelling of pedestrian RTC injuries, and qualitative study assessing the values and priorities of older adults with major trauma. Experienced PHEM Consultant working with The Air Ambulance Service as Deputy Medical Director and MERIT doctor with West Midlands Ambulance Service. Chair of RCEM PHEM Professional Advisory Group (2020-2024). Examiner of DipIMC & FIMC RCSEd with FIMC personally achieved by Examination. Executive Committee Member of Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care RCSEd (2017-2023). Committed to promoting equality & diversity in PHEM, opening conversations about moral injury in pre-hospital care, and supporting education for all pre-hospital practitioners. Extensive experience in publishing including Associate Editor of Emergency Medicine Journal (2016-2023), peer reviewer for Resuscitation & SJTREM, editor of medical textbooks (ABC of PHEM 2023) and author of peer reviewed publications.
