I am Caroline Markel (formerly Markel-Hammond), a five-time international best selling author, public speaker, and CEO and Founder of both SafeInHarmsWay.org and Epizon Strategy Solutions. My work in rare disease and oncology with Fortune 500 corporations and billion-dollar brands has impacted people to empower health, safety, confidence and prosperity with unique solutions for individuals. With over twenty-five years of international experience, I have now stepped into education and digital marketing endeavors designed to help individuals in the digital marketing space protect their dreams and achieve their wildest goals. Through a focus on safety, empowerment, community and prosperity I have built a global network of support for rare disease and oncology patients, digital entrepreneurs and human crime survivors alike. I feel most at home on a stage (virtual or in-person) where I can intimately connect with my fellow humans. It's a beautiful moment when silence and shame gives way to triumph exceeding all expectations by the simple act of listening and empathy. I save and change lives. My work is deeply rooted in personal experiences, and I use storytelling and advocacy to create change in the corporate and personal development world. My results have been showcased from Times Square to small town locations, leading to individualized and uniquely-designed solutions which foster confidence, safety, privacy, and prosperity exceeding personal and corporate metrics. As a trauma-informed coach, and 20 Most Inspiring Leader, my personal journey to my own empowered dreams have been featured on Oprah, Forbes, PBS, NPR, Ms. Magazine, Newsweek, television, radio and podcasts. My stellar team’s efforts have included numerous awards, including two Manny Awards and four Anthem Awards. I can be found leading the charge in disrupting complacency and fostering growth.
