I currently hold the post of Deputy Country Director for HIV/AID activities for JSI‘s Supply Chain Management System Project. I have been a full time employee of JSI since 2009, holding technical and management positions on the SCMS project over the past 7 years. My specialties include project management and coordination, system design, forecasting and quantification and warehousing and distribution and expanding access to ART in the public health sector in Zimbabwe.In my current position, my responsibilities include support the planning and coordination of HIV/AIDS technical activities and personnel, develop and monitor technical strategies and work plans and organize and provide in-country technical assistance, maintain effective communication with USAID, Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC), cooperating agencies and implementing partners and head the technical team devoted to improving the different commodity supply chains in the country. I recruit, supervise and oversee the technical work of advisors and other staff.Prior to my work with SCMS I served as the Logistic Unit Manager on the MOHCC AIDS & TB Program. I directed Logistics Unit staff to ensure the continuous supply of Health commodities wherever they were needed in the MOHCC public sector ART program. I maintained a strong working relationship with the AIDS & TB Unit Program Managers.From 2003-2006 I worked in two different capacities 1) As Pharmacist in Charge in one of the largest referral hospital in Zimbabwe, one of the five sites to introduce ART in the public health sector. 2) I worked as a branch and regional manager at NatPharm, Zimbabwe’s equivalent of Government Medical Stores. I am a seasoned manager, technically skilled in project management, strategic planning and coordination.I am thoroughly familiar with the public health and pharmaceutical landscape in Zimbabwe.
