About Caroline Mullins

As a student of Psychology at Elon University, I have developed a love and passion for aiding others, especially those who struggle with mental health issues. Through my education I gained a deep understanding of the DSM-V and the disorders described within it, learned how to use research programs such as SPSS, and learned how to use both critical thinking and problem solving in terms of numerous types of interventions. I have had several hands on experiences working with the mentally ill, including my internship with the Sanctuary House, and wish to continue my education with more hands on experience after graduating. I am someone who takes time to look at every aspect of a situation from a number of different perspectives, but I also am able to make quick decisions based off previous experiences if need be. I thoroughly enjoy working with others, as I find that the differences individuals bring to the table create a better, more thought out solution. In my spare time I like to read, travel, watch basketball, and relax with loved ones. I especially enjoy spending time at the beach, watching the waves roll in as I practice mindfulness techniques, as this helps me relax.
