About Caroline Narron

With a solid foundation in geospatial science and a passion for environmental conservation, I bring over ten years of research and teaching experience. My mission is to leverage advanced remote sensing techniques for the betterment of our coastal ecosystems. My expertise in geography, particularly in analyzing and modeling plant biomass for carbon sequestration, is instrumental in contributing to my research and career goals. My collaborative nature ensures that the projects I undertake benefit from my diverse perspective and experiences. In my current role, I've developed innovative satellite image-based remote sensing techniques to monitor and understand the changes in saltmarsh vegetation. This work supports the National Park Service's Saltmarsh Vegetation Extent Monitoring Protocol, and I take pride in having established reproducible workflows alongside SECN staff. My dedication extends to instructing my students at the University of Georgia, ensuring the development and success of our future leaders and scientists.
