About Caroline Pond

I am a Pharmacist who has spent my career working in a diverse selection of healthcare related roles. After a start in hospital pharmacy I spent period of time working in pharmaceutical sales before my career took a turn to retail pharmacy and within a few years I owned and operated two successful community pharmacies. Recognising that change was afoot in retail pharmacy I decided it was time for a further career change and I sold up and accepted an opportunity to move into a marketing role encouraging behaviour change for economic development in East Africa, supported by a major Pharmaceutical Company. I currently hold the position of NHS Partnership Working Director for CHASE. I am highly experienced in developing and managing healthcare programmes and I have developed and supported a number of CCG, Federation and pharmaceutical Industry initiatives supporting improved patient outcomes, led by clinical pharmacists. Given my extensive experience as a Pharmacist in General Practice I support the major wholesaler Pheonix Healthcare and their member organisation PSUK, in developing Clinical Services and skills training for their membership. I have a solid reputation for auditing and supporting Dispensing General Practices to improve quality and efficiency in their dispensary businesses and guiding prescribing and medicines optimisation activities to improve profitability whilst supporting low acquisition costs for the NHS. I am passionate about improving healthcare and believe innovation is to be embraced. I look for opportunity and strive to promote projects which change patient outcomes.
