In addition to helping employers and employees with all employment related matters, I am also regularly appointed as a workplace investigator. I am an Association of Workplace Investigators certificate holder having completed the training programme and examination requirement at the institute in Portland, Oregon. I regularly provide training and seminars and am often asked to comment in the media on employment law issues. In 2022, 2023 and 2024 Black Door Law was a finalist for Employment Law Firm of the Year at the New Zealand Law Awards. Immediately prior to founding Black Door Law I was a partner and head of the employment law practice at a well known law firm.
