About Caroline Sheedy

Joining Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) in 2005 after a fifteen-year career with Westpac, I found the perfect role to share my finance skills and experience, and work in an organisation that focusses on driving change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Possessing the unique ability to listen with empathy, I understand the importance of advocating and championing for customers, empowering them to overcome their challenges. Working closely with, and supporting First Nations people to be economically independent is a driving motivation for me. I am a self-starter with the ability to achieve outcomes due to my personal drive, strategic thinking, ability to influence others, and my resilience. I have an aptitude for problem solving, dealing with complex issues and building high performing teams within Commonwealth Government and private sector environments. As the Associate Director, Commercial Projects I am responsible for maximizing the strategic outcomes delivered by, and quality of, commercial activity within IBA’s Products and Markets programs, which includes identifying commercial-oriented opportunities to add value, manage cross-function projects and support efficiency-gains across Program areas. My top values - Being true to self, Empathy, Helping Others, Courage, Integrity. drives everything I do.
