About Caroline Sweeney

I am a middle child. Growing up I wanted to catch up to my older siblings and to move fast enough that my little sister doesn’t catch me. This made me competitive, ambitious, and determined. As a child, my parents were educators and promoted an atmosphere of learning and support. As we grew older my siblings and I achieved academic success, graduating at the top of our high school class and receiving scholarships to college. As each of us graduated the pressure grew to continue the “streak”. It was from that pressure I learned to stop competing with my siblings and start competing with myself. I have developed a mindset of not “what” needs to be done to reach a goal not “if” it can be reached. It's my competitiveness within myself that has helped me in my transition to college and I believe will help me to push boundaries within my work.
