About Carolyn Bailey

Education and community development professional with 15 years of experience in non-profit settings. Carolyn is currently Director of Programs at the Loran Scholars Foundation where she administers Canada's top undergraduate leadership award, identifying and supporting young leaders of exceptional character. Prior to Loran, Carolyn worked with Ecosource, an NGO in Peel Region. There, she grew a small urban food growing initiative from one small pilot project into one of the agency's largest and most recognizable community programs, with multiple satellite locations and a network of partnership projects across the region. Carolyn's work focuses on building resilient communities that foster leadership, celebrate diversity and work together for a healthy and sustainable future. Her experience encompasses the fields of youth leadership, community development, food security and environmental issues. Specialties: project development, strategic partnerships, program evaluation, research, reporting, communications, experiential education and team coordination.
