I am often asked,"How did you get involved with radon?" In the early 90s I was working as an administrative assistant for a large large property management firm. Mortgage interest rates were beginning to fall after years of double digits. My employer had many loans to refinance, and radon began to appear on lender due diligence checklists. I became involved in searching for answers. What is the problem with indoor radon? How do you test for it? How do you reduce it? I was shocked by the significant health risks and fascinated by the business opportunities to address the problem. Working to reduce radon-induced lung cancer is a multi-faceted occupation. I am dedicated to helping people live healthier lives through improving their indoor environments.
