About Carolyn Milliman

We are all on our own unique path in life and while we traverse our path, we will inevitably face obstacles that stand in the way of accomplishing our dreams. My path has led me to become a Therapist in Training pursuing my Masters in Clinical Counseling at the Family Institute at Northwestern University. My clinical approach is Trauma-Informed and integrative, emphasizing Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Feminist counseling theories. My focus is empowering young adults and adults of all identities to develop skills and strengths in managing their mental health and the ability to advocate for their own needs and the needs of their communities. I have a passion for working with young adults, and adults across the lifespan experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ2IA+ specific hurdles, and other mental health challenges. My approach is built on trust, curiosity, and courage.
