About Carrie Babe

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience providing therapy for couples, families, individual adults and children. I emphasize the transformational value of the therapeutic relationship and seek to provide a safe, empathic, and authentic healing environment. Through this relationship, I strive to help clients better understand their interpersonal contexts in addition to their internal processes, and the potential impact on functioning. Including primary relationships in the journey can often enhance and accelerate healing and growth. I utilize a systemic, integrative approach to therapy while focusing on client strengths, resources and goals. My clinical interests include issues related to depression and anxiety, self-esteem, couple intimacy and conflict, family and individual life cycle transitions, parent-child relationships and attachment, and adult-parent relationships. I earned my Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Northwestern University, and obtained intensive clinical training at the Family Institute of Northwestern University. I am licensed to practice in Michigan and New York.
