In today’s world, energy and manufacturing executives must have accurate, transparent, and strategic financial information for decision making. That’s where I come in. I provide financial leadership and coaching to the accounting team to ensure financials are transparent and informative and financial expertise to the executive team to assist in direction setting. I possess 14+ years of progressive finance experience and a consistent history of driving profitability growth. Career highlights include: Provided the business detail and margin-analysis insight that led to a change in the strategic direction of a company after redesigning and simplifying its accounting processes. Successfully integrated an acquisition and its employees into the Newpark culture and processes; implemented consistent processes and converted it to a new system and from cost to GAAP. Implemented new Oracle, SAP and Hyperion systems that provided common platforms for two global companies, Shell and Newpark. Established consistency between sites and comparable financials at Shell by redefining costing standards and bringing multiple manufacturing sites into agreement. As a problem solver and facilitator, I look for and address root causes of problems and bring cross-functional teams together by identifying the common goal and getting everyone headed in the same direction. I am a hands-on leader and motivator and do not expect my team members to do something I would not do. I am energized by opportunities for professional growth and to be a major contributor to the development of strategic goals and objectives.
