About Carrie Mark

Carrie Mark assumed a position at Barclays in 2018, focusing on the Control agenda. Previously, she was with JPMorgan where she was a Global Product Manager for Collateral Management. She dedicated her time in Collateral Management to institute a disciplined control framework and has led end to end product reviews to mitigate risk, has driven programs with key partners to increase efficiencies and has instituted global disciplines to ensure controlled processes are followed globally. Carrie joined J.P. Morgan in 1997 and held positions in Accounting, Middle Office, Client Service and Product Management. Prior to being part of Product Management, she was with Client Service as Global Program Manager and led a global re-engineering program to define and implement the operating model, standardize roles and responsibilities, realign functions, drive opportunities and develop enhanced reporting metrics and processes. In Middle Office, she managed cross-asset teams in trade and sales support for both credit derivatives and interest rate derivatives. During the financial crisis of 2007-2008, Carrie defined the global requirements for the novation of impacted asset classes to ensure an overall consistent client experience and adherence to the novation protocol and ultimately drove the execution across positions and over counterparties. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Carrie worked as a public accountant with PriceWaterhouse LLP and McGladrey and Pullen LLP where she planned audit engagements, performed detailed testing and prepared financial reports for clients across several business industries. Carrie received her certificate as a Certified Public Accountant in 1997. She has Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Iowa State University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Delaware.
